Fashion Show: DKNY S/S 2014...
As much as I would love to say that I attended the show or was able to actually be backstage shooting the models up close. I can't say any of that. The reality is that I was outside the show shooting the guests going to the show (you know...my street steez thing) and as it turns out DKNY almost always has their show open for everyone both inside the venue and outside it to see. As you can see from my pictures the backstage area of the show is inside a tent right outside the venue on the sidewalk. Models walk from the sidewalk into the venue. It's actually a pretty cool concept. However, in order to get front row access to backstage pictures/the (unofficial) outdoor pit you have to stand there at least an hour in advance to secure your spot. I never care enough to stand there in order to shoot the models because I'm too busy shooting street stylez.
This season I decided to get in the mob of "photographers" and spectators and raise my camera way above my head and shoot randomly at what I could hope were the models and see what kind of shots I end up with. These are the pictures I ended up with...
