UGG Australia Store Opening On Newbury...
Yesterday night I attended the exclusive UGG Australia Grand Opening on Newbury Street and it was far from what I expected. The event was being held by UGG Australia and GQ. The fact that GQ was involved automatically means that I was NOT missing the event no matter what! If you don't know by now...I am subscribed to the magazine and I'm a big fan of it. At the event I got to see the Tom Brady collaboration collection with UGG Australia which hasn't been released yet along with his new campaign(which is pictured above and is framed throughout the store). Apparently I was the ONLY Boston fashion blogger who attended the event. Although, I did meet a new cool Boston blogger...BUT she isn't a fashion blogger. I was able to meet so many lovely people there including the store designer and store owner and the lovely woman who invited me to the event(which I thanked like a million times...AND still thank her for inviting me). As always I took TONS of pictures of people which I will be posting throughout the next week or two. As I am leaving, the women at the door give me an envelope which I didn't open until way after the event AND I find out it's a gift card which I can redeem for a particular pair of UGG shoes...I still can't believe it. A pair of UGG shoes...for free?!?! I have finally accomplished a blog goal which I have had for the longest time which was...to get any type of clothing item for free due to my blog. Time to set new goals.
I would really love to thank UGG Australia for inviting me to this wonderful event and gifting me a pair of shoes. I would ALSO really love to thank the absolutely wonderful woman who was proactive about asking me if I wanted her to take my picture with the wall as a background. THANK YOU!
ALSO...the UGG Australia store on 75 Newbury Street Boston Massachusetts will be opening to the public on Thursday 18th of August 2011. Go shop the wonderful selection of clothing/shoes they have there!
This Is How I See Things...
When I look at people...stylish people are seen in wonderful color vision while the not so stylish people are seen in black and white. JUST KIDDING! Although, to be honest, when I do spot a trendy person walking the street...my eyes light up and I pay more attention to them as opposed to everyone else who kind of blend in with each other. This is not to say that I treat people differently or that I judge people...its just more interesting when I spot a difference in the midst of a crowd of the same.
Read Between The Lines...
I finally noticed what the shirt's lines were about after I was reviewing this picture and now I can appreciate them for what they are. They're hilarious and very smartly placed. I love the woman's shorts. You can't really see the texture of them BUT they were like a rough silky texture.
BADASS REBEL...
This is what I think of when I think of a rebel's style. I have tried to channel this type of look in the past BUT I could never pull it off as well as this man does. Apparently I am not the first street style blog to ask him for a picture and I can see why. When I was done shooting him, he told me that his ENTIRE ensemble was from AllSaints. Maybe I should go to AllSaints and shop there and see if I come out looking equally as badass as this man.

Karma Brought Them Together...
I don't know if these two talk and I don't care either. All I care about is their clothing and I love the way they are dressed! The man looks like a hipster rapper and the woman looks badass. The reason these two are in the same picture is because I didn't have enough time to snap individual pictures.
Cool Story Bro...
You might say this is too matchy matchy for your taste, but forget about your taste. It's good to match your clothing every once in a while...especially if you do it as fresh and clean as this man does it. He looks like he could crash a yacht party and no one would ever notice because he looks like he could belong on a boat! OR He could jump on stage today with Mac Miller and rap out the lyrics to Donald Trump and security guards would not stop him because his look is fresh. BOOM!

This is fresh. Just fresh. I really like this preppy/sailor-ish look. They look like they came off a boat and maybe went skating afterwards? I love everything about both ensembles.

My Spontaneous And Surprising Encounter...
Remember her? Yes...well if you don't...maybe the picture below should refresh your memory.
I found my good friend on Newbury Monday morning and without knowing who she was...I asked her for a picture and she stopped me mid-sentence and told me we had met several times before. I recognized her instantly! I hadn't seen her in so many months and I definitely hadn't seen her with her new hair(she had it dyed differently the last time I saw her...her hair always looks good and cool). I must say that what caught my attention were her boots. They're silver with a slight hint of gold. It was probably the most amazing thing ever...since I rarely ever encounter anyone I know on the streets of Boston...or anywhere period.
Is This Something Good Or Bad?...
I found this man paying for his merchandise inside a CVS and I stood there debating whether I should ask him for a picture or not. I asked him and felt flattered that I asked him BUT also a bit hesitant because he didn't know whether I was going to criticize his ensemble in a good or bad way. I told him...I don't ask anyone for a picture who I think looks bad. While he is accommodating himself for the shot...I tell him I really LOVE his wingtip boots. NOW that I am looking over the picture again...I must say I also love his subtle placement of accessories.

Music Monday: Tyler The Creator(OFWGKTA)...
I don't know if you know him or not by now BUT Tyler The Creator has been attracting more and more fans throughout the past months. Him and his "Wolf Gang" get more popular after every song they release. People either like their beats or their originality or their lyrics. In my opinion their music as all about their lyrics. Tyler made a hit song called "Yonkers" which you have probably heard or not. If you haven't...I suggest you do listen to it. I have been listening to this song featuring Tyler the creator and the some others from OFWGKTA(Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All....his whole gang's name). I hope you enjoy this song!
